Biosketch

Dr. Agarwal is a native of New York, where he received his undergraduate and medical education, as well as residency training. He has received several academic and travel awards, including grants from the American Brachytherapy Society, New York State Assembly, and the American Association of Neurosurgical Surgeons.

Dr. Agarwal’s specializes in the treatment of cancers of the head and neck, genitourinary system, gynecologic system, skin and spine. His expertise includes the use of brachytherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and spot-scanning proton therapy for the treatment of cancer.He is recognized as a regional leader in brachytherapy and serves on national committees for the American Brachytherapy Society. He is also actively involved in enrollment on clinical trials.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Agarwal worked as a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office which reflects his focus on innovation. His efforts have yielded 14 publications,20 national presentations, one patent and two pending patents. His clinical research interests concentrate on prostate and head and neck cancers, as well as the integration of complementary therapy into cancer therapy.

During his free time, Dr. Agarwal enjoys cycling, playing basketball and spending time with his wife and daughter.
