Executive Director, Maryland Proton Treatment Center; Professor and Isadore & Fannie Schneider Foxman Chair, Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Maryland School of Medicine

Dr. Regine is a leader in the field of radiation oncology and a recognized expert in the areas of GI and CNS malignancies. He has served as a principal investigator for multiple NCI-sponsored clinical trials. His research has defined new standards of care for patients. He is co-inventor of the “GammaPod,” the first treatment system dedicated to the stereotactic radiation of early stage breast cancer and is co-editor of “Principles and Practices of Stereotactic Radiosurgery,” the first comprehensive textbook of its kind.

Maryland Proton Center Physician Dr. Matthew J. Ferris

Medical Director, Maryland Proton Treatment Center; Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Ferris’s primary practice locations include University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health, University of Maryland Medical Center, and the Maryland Proton Treatment Center. He has broad clinical interests that encompass treatment for most malignant and non-malignant tumors, and use of advanced radiation techniques.

Senior Administrator of the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Department of Radiation Oncology

Frank has been with the UM SOM Department of Radiation Oncology since 1997, when he joined as a senior therapist. He soon advanced to chief therapist and later became the director of operations, responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the downtown and community treatment centers, including nursing, dosimetry, and therapy. In April 2008, Young became the department’s senior administrator.

Ms. LePage graduated with a BS in Radiologic Science with a concentration in Radiation Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has been with the University of Maryland Department of Radiation Oncology for more than 14 years.  Before coming to the Maryland Proton Treatment Center, Jaime held the position of Assistant Chief Therapist at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
