Baltimore Business Journal Features MPTC in Cool Digs

The Maryland Proton Treatment Center was recently featured in the Baltimore Business Journal Cool Digs section, which features modern office spaces around Greater Baltimore.

The article explains that the cyclotron, a 90-ton machine, produces a proton beam able to reach across five treatment rooms, roughly the wingspan of a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. The protons are accelerated to 60 percent the speed of light, and treat deep-seated tumors inside the body.
